How do we get people to consider Brussels as their next city trip destination?

After the terrorist attacks in 2017, Brussels faced huge challenges. Not only the Belgians avoided Belgium’s capital city, hotel bookings dropped down dramatically and Brussels lost its appeal as a first-line city trip destination. So how to turn this situation around?

We invited people to unhide the Brussels they can call their own

Visit Brussels, the Brussels Region’s Tourist Office, presents “Where will Brussels take you”: a full-scale campaign inspiring people to come visit Brussels and live authentic and memorable experiences at their own pace. Targeted at 7 European priority markets, all the campaign tools presented Brussels as a shopping window for unknown places, activities and hidden gems in the Brussels Capital Region. These tools included a PR launch with a press conference and international events and an extensive OOH campaign in train stations and airport throughout Europe and in different Belgian locations. To get the buzz going all along the campaign, we created a content rich platform connected to social media and supported it with a display and influencer campaign.
